Ma... Maa... Mama

DFW, on our way to visit Great Grandmother

Helping to get everything ready for
Great Grandmother's estate sale ...

This is hard work...
stacking and unstacking the pots!

"I'm hungry and tired!"

Mommy didn't pack any winter clothes
so they had to bundle me up in blankets
and scarves to go out for a walk

Having lunch at La Cantina during our looonng
layover at DFW ... We were scheduled to land
in VA at 3pm, but due to delays, we didn't arrive
until 10pm ... Just ready to be back in VA after
a very, looonng weekend of cleaning and packing.

Learning to use her snack cup & sharing ...
1 for Belle, 1 for Emery ... 1 for Zoe, 1 for Emery

After arriving home from TX, our whole family came
down with strep throat ... OUCH!!! And not to mention,
Emery was already teething. It was a very, looonng
week as Mommy couldn't do much of anything right ...
except for holding & cuddling 24/7. Emery is slightly
mad at Mommy as she scoots further into the box ...

"Help, I want out!" ...
Yes, those are real tears with a grin!

Farm animals with a farmer named "Pop"

Excitement over the smallest things!

And, some more farm animals!

Emery loves to unpack "her" shelf in the
fridge ... the bad thing is, she's figured out how to
open the Mayo ... and, she gets it everywhere!

Yuummm, spaghetti!
Do you notice her raspberry bruise on her
forehead? She tries to be very independent
these days ... and she fell down, went boom!

"Ma... Maa... Mama"
Very proud, she finally says it! I travelled
this week for work and I think she missed
me so bad that she thought if she would say
it that it would bring me back sooner ... poor
thing, she's very attached to her MaMa.

Such a big girl! And, very fast walker!!!
Anytime she wants something ... you can
hear her start saying Ma... Maa... Mama.
I love it! She's practically running because
I just asked her if she wants to go outside ...
she loves being outside and in the dirt!
She may be dirty, but she'll be wearing PINK!

Here's a few more pics...

Yes, I am that CRAZY mom that would leave her
child's car seat "rear facing" as long as possible.
However, over the past two weeks, Emery has
become very restless when in the car... so, I gave
in this weekend and Ross turned her seat around!

"Sitting down" is a battle we have during bath time!

Hoppy Easter!

What a beautiful Easter weekend! We enjoyed Emery's first egg hunt and a perfect Sunday with the Landrum crew. It's so nice to have more than just two sets of hands to keep Emery going!

Back to Daycare...

When Emery returned to daycare, she was moved up to the toddler room... yes, she misses you too Ms. Shirley! She is doing great and loves the interaction with the bigger kids... it's crazy how quickly she is picking up both the good & bad habits! Yes, as every mom believes that their babies learn the bad habits from the other children. The toddler room is a big transition for both Emery & myself... her days a very long and she plays very hard. Needless to say, she is ready for bed once I pick her up at 6pm... this breaks my heart as our playtime in the evenings is very limited and has been replaced with cuddle time instead.

First day in the Toddler Room!

Completely exhausted after her first day.

She loves sharing ice cream & popsicles with Dada!

She carried these 3 spoons around all day!

She hasn't been the easiest to get down for a nap...
so, I had to resort to a stroller ride in the house!

Videos, Happy Birthday Emery!

She LOVED when we sang "Happy Birthday" to her...

... However, she did not like the icing one bit!

She loves riding in her car!

Watch me walk to Mommy!

Happy Birthday Emery!

Happy Birthday Emery! I can't believe a year has already flown-by so fast... what a special blessing! Thank goodness Nana & Pop were able to visit. Just my luck, Emery's special birthday week was actually one of the busiest weeks I've had at work this year... and, I didn't have to mess with daycare, so nice!

provides her hours of entertainment!

Nana was determined to teach Emery to walk,
Emery picked it up very quickly!
