Say a Doggie Prayer for Zoe
Zoe ate a sock! So, we have had a long week with many trips to the vet. Non-stop vomiting on Tuesday, Xrays were taken on Wednesday, and Thursday she went into surgery. The vet had to cut into her stomach and two places in her intestines. She is being carefully watched over as they are closely monitoring her digestive system. The vet is introducing food to her this afternoon... she basically has an empty system at this point and they want to make sure that everything starts to function properly again. She is with the vet during the day and the ER clinic at night... they want 24-hour care for her until she is showing signs of improvement. Please keep our Zoe in your prayers.

Thank goodness… the veggies are planted!
One drawback about living so far away... is that I miss out on all of the fresh veggies from my Granny's garden. So... this is the second year I have prepared a garden of potted-veggies & herbs. On Saturday, I planted tomatoes, mint, cilantro, basil, lemon balm, parsley, and sweet banana peppers! Although cucumbers are my absolute favorite, I have decided not to plant them this year as I know I will be traveling more and will not be home to place the vines in ways that Zoe & Belle will not be able devour them!

Ready for the Beach
Weekend with the Family
What an exciting weekend I had!!! My Friday morning flight was scheduled for 10:00am out of Bentonville… I woke up at 4:00am and decided to call American to see if there were any other available flights. I flew out of bed, got ready, packed, and was out the door within 30 minutes and heading to the airport for the 5:45am flight. It was so nice… I was in Dallas and on the road to Hamilton by 8:00am and still had the whole day ahead of me. Friday night, Melinda & the kids arrived. On Saturday, Melinda & I had our usually “girls” trip to The Dutchman… It’s our favorite! They make the best Rueben and Apple Kuchen pie! Cassie was completely surprised!!! She had no idea that Cici would be in town this weekend. She thought it was just going to be another weekend with Pop, Nana, and Jaxon… She was very excited!!! From basketball to roller skating (Jaxon used my old Fisher-Price skates that still fit my feet today... How sad is that!) to manicures & pedicures to snuggling with Lorin, the weekend was non-stop! I wouldn’t have had it any other way!!!
