Full Night's Sleep!
Emery was such an awesome sleeper right from the start. I would put her to bed around 8:30pm and would have to wake her up at 7:00am. Amazing! She definitely spoiled me with the great sleeping routine, because her sleeping habits have not been so great lately. It all changed about the first of August. With the combination of a slight cold and teething, she quickly got into the routine of waking through the night to nurse. Not fun for mommy... As some mornings, I was a walking zombie. She just has not slept the same... Very restless! But, last night, she did! Thank goodness she remembers her secret! My first thought this morning as the alarm clock was going off ... "Did she really sleep all night?" ... "Did I have to get up through the night?" ... Some mornings it's hard for me to remember what actually happened, just a little sleep deprived! Well, I was right... she slept all night! And, Mommy felt a million times better!
Now, I believe I have tennis elbow. UGH!!! Every time I go to pick up the car seat or my bag for work with my right arm, my elbow KILLS me! I've read up on it a bit... and the main cure I've found so far is "to not pick things up, to rest and let it heal." Yea, right!!!

Getting Back to Normal, pics!
She LOVES the paper on the tables at the Dr's office!Dr said that her ears look good & breathing is clear!
A nebulizer treatment during bath time while holdingher water bottle! From now on, the Dr said her nebulizer
treatments should be done when she is congested.

Getting Back to Normal...
Life has been CRAZY & non-stop these past two week! Emery's little body has fought hard and has finally kicked her cold! Thank goodness! She is back to her "happy, laid-back" self... And, not to mention, Mommy is glad to have the extra sleep & energy too! ... I didn't know how much longer I could juggle the sleepless nights with a cranky baby who ONLY wants Mommy to hold her and my hour commute to work each day. A bit stressful at times, but we always seem to manage! As for the Army 10-Miler... I was not able to participate this year as Emery woke three times the night before the race and when my alarm went off at 4:30am, I just couldn't seem to find the energy. Kind of bummed... I had actually gotten my butt in gear and had trained up to 7.5 miles! ... And, none the less, I had missed out on girl-time with no babies! Speaking of girl-time, I had a well deserved night out last Friday... Nothing to crazy, just a couple bottles of wine and some good girl chat! Before we knew it, it was 2am! What was I thinking? Knowing that I have to be 100% Mommy on Saturday... Definitely found myself napping with Emery as Mommy had a slight headache all day long! Back to Emery, she's growing so fast! Definitely more confident with sitting up and grabbing for things. Every once in a while, she'll bring her legs up underneath her as if she was going to crawl... but, I know she has not grasped the concept just yet. Another month or two and I believe she'll on her way to mobility! Giggle! The sweetest sound ever! We love to watch her watch the dogs... she will look at them as they run by her and will just giggle! So sweet! Ever since she was sick, I am doing my best to get her out in the fresh air as it is the best thing for her with all of these winter colds around her at daycare. We bundle-up and head out for evening walks. She is amazed at the cars as they pass by and will have such a serious look on her face as I guess she is trying to figure everything out! Hopefully she has a better start with daycare this week as she was refusing the bottle last Monday... she's a bit stubborn at such a young age! Say a prayer Emery stays germ-free for our TX Holiday in November. It'll be time to board the plane before we know it!
P.S. I'll try to post pictures this evening!
