Sweet Little Monster
Sleeping peacefully!
Love those rosey cheeks!
Yes, there's a sweet, little monster living in our house! The time change is killing us as she's ready to start her day around 5:00am... and, when she sees you for the first time in the morning, she has a huge smile on her face! Gotta love it... she totally knows how to get you first thing in the morning. Then, there comes the battle with the bottle... the sweet, little monster absolutely refuses to take a bottle. It all started around 6 months old when she decided she no longer wanted it... you can try and try, but she will not have it. You would think we were hurting her for how loud she tends to fuss when a bottle comes near her lips. I know she can probably sense my determination and that is most likely working against me... so, we're onto the sippy cup! And, I will let her figure things out for herself. Seriously, the sweet, little monster is only 7 1/2 months old and we're already having a "battle of the wills!" Just crossing my fingers that she decides she likes the sippy cup by the time we've planned to go skiing in January.

Growing up too fast!
It's crazy... our baby girl is growing up so fast. It seems as though all of a sudden things are really starting to click in her little mind. She studies everything, touches everything, and is starting to jibber-jabber all day long... yes, she's about to say Da Da!
She loves her Daddy's caps!
And, to ride the pony or motorcycle!
She loves her Daddy's caps!and hate to make a mess. The other night when I
was feeding Emery carrots, apples & cereal.
was feeding Emery carrots, apples & cereal.
I wasn't paying attention and she was quick to grab
the spoon... we had food EVERYWHERE!
I know I have much BIGGER messes in the near future!

No worries, we did pick-up the shoes
that she's about to grab!
Emery blowing raspberries!
(Sorry, I don't know how to rotate the video...)
Zoe's new found friend!
Over the past week, I've noticed that Zoe has found a new friend besides Ross & myself. She seems to think that if she takes her ball to Emery that Emery will throw it for her... Smart thinking Zoe, but Emery needs to be a little bit older! When I first found Emery holding Zoe's ball, I completely freaked out about "germs" as I'm sure all "first-time moms" do. However, I had to quickly get over it as I cannot control the situation at all... I know I could just put Zoe's balls away, but have you ever seen a Miniature Dachshund who LOVES to play ball with no balls in the house... She literally drives us CRAZY! So, putting the balls away is not an option in the McElroy house. I guess I'll just have to keep explaining to Zoe that Emery can't throw the ball... Hopefully, she'll understand one of these days!
