to have such awesome "next" door neighbors!

Life in Texas ...

The McElroy's are back in the great state of Texas!!! I am far behind with pictures of Emery ... hopefully, I can get caught up soon. Hope everyone has had a safe Thanksgiving holiday!

More, Fun Emery Facts

1. Last Sunday evening, Emery looked at me and said, “Oh, Mom” … not sure how she learned that phrase

2. Can now pull doors closed by grabbing the door handles … scars Mommy a bit as she thinks it’s a game to shut herself in the pantry.

3. All dogs are still “Belle Belle”

4. Emery has a Halloween musical dog dressed in a pumpkin outfit that sings the “Monster Mash” while its ears fly up & down … Yes, this would drive some people crazy, but to see her reaction each time she turns it on is priceless. She screams at the top of her lungs, she is so excited!

5. Ask Emery what Dada watches and she’ll try to say “FOOT-ball”

6. Loves her broccoli!

7. The “sign is in the knees” beginning Nov 12th … wish us luck as we are going to try to take away the bottles and start using big girl cups. The challenge is that she refuses to drink milk from a sippy cup.

8. Loves her books and is trying really hard to say “book”

9. Likes to slide down the slide by herself!

10. You can ask Emery if she wants a bite of ice cream and she’ll shake her head “No!” … show her a Popsicle and she’ll run, climb on the couch, and sit down ready for a bite!

11. Loves her Mommy, but is becoming quite a Daddy’s girl these days

12. La Bamba is her favorite song to dance to with Ms. Rosa … Emery will say “Bamba” if she sees you touching her radio.

13. Gets very frustrated when Mommy cannot fit into her Little Tikes Pink Coupe!

14. When Emery puts a headband on, she’ll say “Woo, Hoo!”

15. Learning her body parts, she’s doing great … she points to her nose, her eyes, her ears, waves her hands, stomps her feet, pokes her belly button, and pats her boobies!

16. Emery does not like her pizza … will not even try it!

17. When she’s in the mood, she loves to give love … lots of hugs & kisses!

18. Like any curious toddler, Emery has figured out that there is water in the toilet … GROSS!!!

19. Just bought her first pair of little running shoes … size 6!

20. Every day her morning begins around 6:30am … many know that Mommy is NOT a morning person, but when I hear her sweet little voice calling “Mama”, that’s all I need to start my day!

Bye Bye Dada

Little missy woke-up extra early last Monday @ 5:45am,

just in time to say good-bye to Ross before he heads to work.

I was trying to get her to snuggle in bed with Mommy, but

she kept asking for Dada. I simply explained that Dada had

to go bye-bye to go to work. Later that morning, I caught her

looking out her window saying "Bye Bye Dada" as cars passed our

house. She is such a sweetheart and is becoming a Daddy's girl!

Old Town Alexandria, what a beautiful day! Emery had a

blast running and dancing on the pier with all the live music

and entertainment ... She was a little firecracker!!!

She makes us laugh, a little tomboy with her prissy moments!

Emery's so proud! She pulled the monster Kirby

vacuum cleaner out of the closet all by herself.

And trust me, she had to pull hard as the closet is packed!

... she insisted having her wallet during dinner!
